After 15 years leading the Mustangs, the coach says goodbye.
Strongsville boys basketball coach Joe Lynch has stepped down after 15 seasons. Lynch, 69, who has been coaching for nearly 40 years, resigned last week, according to The Plain Dealer. He is ending his time at Strongsville with a 210-129 record and 533-296 overall in his coaching career. Lynch was the coach at St. Peter Chanel for 23 seasons before becoming athletic director in Strongsville in 1991, the paper reports. He became the basketball coach in 1998.
