Driver Accused of Turfing 80 Lawns Changes Plea
Kerr won't fight charges in Huntington Park incident
A Strongsville man charged with turfing some 80 yards in Huntington Park in December has changed his plea to no contest. Michael H. Kerr, 20, on Friday entered a plea of no contest in Berea Municipal Court to a charge of criminal damaging. Kerr, who was 19 at the time, was arrested early Dec. 18 after reporting his car had slid off the road and got stuck on Greenwich Drive. But police found a car had driven over more than 80 front and back yards in Huntington Park Estates that night, leaving varying degrees of damage to the lawns. Yards were hit on Versailles, Stamford, Highland Park and an entire side of Kettering. Kerr, 9966 Chevy Chase, initially denied involvement, telling police he only slid into one yard.
