Trader Joe's and Whole Foods were the most popular suggestions for what should fill the Giant Eagle store at Westfield SouthPark if the supermarket relocates to Pearl Road next year. In comments to Strongsville Patch and our Facebook page, more readers chose Trader Joe's than any other would-be replacement. That was followed by Whole Foods Market, DSW, Toys R Us and IKEA. "Whole Foods or Trader Joe's would be amazing!" Kelly Sheredy wrote. Giant Eagle announced plans last month to build a 90,000-square-foot superstore on the site of Strongsville Golf and Honey Hut on Pearl Road. Why do we need a bigger store? Have they ever tried going across Rt. 82 to get to Pearl Rd.? It is a nightmare, especially at the Holidays. I guess Middleburg Hts. Giant Eagle will get some more customers. When do you just keep the size of a grocery store normal, we have had so many stores come and go throughout Strongsville.
