'Bully-Proofing Your Child' Workshop Offered
International Karate Centers has free session for parents
Jeff Ellis of International Karate Centers will offer a free workshop for parents of students in grades K-6 called "Bully Proofing Your Child" from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center, 18100 Royalton Rd.
The event, sponsored by Autism Speaks, will focus on how to empower your child to overcome a difficult situation and things to you teach your child to do if he or she is bullied.
Ellis will also discuss the long-term effects of bullying.
