Decorate the City Commons at the Chalk Walk
Arts in Strongsville is calling all kids for the annual event
Arts in Strongsville will host its May 19 at the .
Kids 5-18 can use chalk to decorate the walkway in front of the police station and compete for prizes.
The event is free and runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with judging from 2-4 p.m.

New this year are categories for families and special needs.

Prizes will be awarded for the best-designed squares in each age group (5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18) and also for the best family category and the best special needs category.
A spot will be set up for toddlers under 5 who would like to draw. They will not be judged. A parent must be present at all times during the contest for all elementary-age students. Chalk will be provided to all children. No other chalk can be used as it may stain the concrete.

Water can be purchased at this event. Lawn chairs are suggested. Donation of a canned good for the Strongsville Food Bank would be appreciated.
