Two Authors Coming to Strongsville Library

Two local authors will talk about their books -- and Cleveland traditions -- at the Strongsville Library in November. 

Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. -- Cleveland Christmas Memories: Meet the Author Gail Ghetia Bellamy

Local Clevelandar, poet, and foodie Gail Bellamy will reminisce and shareholiday stories from her latest book, Cleveland Christmas Memories: Looking Back at Holidays Past. If you have fond memories of Mr. Jingeling, stopping at Higbee’s Frosty Bar downstairs, or enjoying the lights at Nela Park, then this is the book for you. Bellamy is a Certified Culinary Professional with a Ph.D. in creative writing. She is the managing editor and food editor of Restaurant Hospitality Magazine and the author of the book Cleveland Food Memories. Books will be available for purchase and a signing will be held courtesy of the Friends of the Strongsville Library.

Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. -- West Side Market: 100 Years & Still Cooking: Meet the Author Marilou Suszko

Local food writers Laura Taxel and Marilou Suszko have joined forces on the new book, Cleveland’s West Side Market: 100 Years & Still Cooking, which documents the rich history of the landmark that is celebrating its centennial this year. Join author Marilou Suszko as she shares stories and nostalgia of the renowned Market. Marilou Suszko is the author of two cookbooks: Farms & Foods of Ohio: From Garden Gate to Dinner Plate and The Locavore's Kitchen. As a food writer, her work appears in local, regional and national publications. Books will be available for purchase and a signing will be held courtesy of the Friends of the Strongsville Branch Library.
