New Books for a New Month!

Librarians Heather Timko, Dona Stein, & Jennifer Niederhausen bring you three new books each week to check-out at the Strongsville Branch Library.

The Curiosity By Stephen Kiernan, July 2013, 434 pages.

Visitation Street By Ivy Pochoda, July 2013, 306 pages.

Chosen by Dennis Lehane for his new imprint series, Ivy Pochoda’s second novel is an enthralling literary mystery set in the blue collar dockside neighborhood of Red Hook in Brooklyn. Two teenaged girls take a raft out into the bay one night and only one girl washes ashore unconscious. The police investigation is less the focus here than the missing girl’s affect on her neighbors and friends. This gripping atmospheric read should be enjoyed by fans of Dennis Lehane and Alice Sebold.
