Death notices from the past week

Carl F. Maenza, 75, of Strongsville, retired district superintendent with the Cuyahoga County Engineers Office, died June 19.

Services took place Thursday, June 23, at , 15822 Pearl Rd.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Charlton); children, Richard, Kara Browning, Paul Browning and Rebecca Browning; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers Ross and Robert.

Helen "Jackie" Gole, 83, a longtime member of  in Strongsville, died June 16.

She is survived by her children, Karen Pehmoeller and Marianne; three grandchildren; and siblings, Paul and Kathleen. Her husband, Frank, is deceased. 

Calling hours were at , 15822 Pearl Rd.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, June 21, at St. Joseph Church, 12700 Pearl Rd.

Irwin A. “Gus” Jenkins, 80, of Strongsville, who served with the Marine Corps at Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War, died June 17.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Y. (nee Demeter); children, Cynthia Duffy, Robin Vargo and Jeffrey; five grandchildren; and siblings, Carol Dubay, LaVerne Locagnato and Richard. 

Services were private with arrangements by Busch Funeral and Crematory Services of Parma.
