When a woman was arrested for shoplifting at Home Depot March 16, police also questioned two people she went to the store with.

The man and woman gave officers permission to search their car, and no merchandise was found.

Their cooperation didn't end there.

"The male and female  . . . admitted that they were thieves, but said they didn't take anything today," the report said.

Bottle Bombs

On March 16, a bottle bomb was apparently used to blow up a mailbox on Squirrel Hollow.

Residents said they heard a loud bang about 10:30 and later found a number of 2-liter bottles around the mailbox and in a neighbor's yard.

Um, What's in the Road?

A caller reported seeing what appeared to be a deceased dog wrapped in shrink wrap on Pearl Road at Valley Parkway about 3:30 p.m. March 17.
