Detective Lt. John Janowski said Berea officers stopped the driver after a chase. He said the driver has denied stealing the car, saying he got it from someone else at the Islander Apartments.
Janowski said police don't know if that man is also a suspect in two car break-ins on Webster Road.

"He didn't have anything with him that was taken from the cars," Janowski said. "We have nothing to tie him to those."
A Webster Road woman called police about 1:45 a.m., saying she heard a noise in the driveway and looked outside to see that her car door was open and the vehicle had been rummaged through.
As officers investigated, they found another car at a neighbor's house had also been rifled.
Nothing appeared to have been taken from either vehicle.
