Mall Watching

A shopper complained Sept. 18 that every time he brings his kids to SouthPark Mall, there is a man on the second floor looking down at kids in the play area.

The caller was upset with the man watching his kids.

After he was told of the complaint, he said he'd consider it next time he's waiting.

A Pearl Road apartment was burglarized while the resident was in the hospital.

A Sept. 19 report said the intruder got in through a bedroom window and stole money and jewelry.

Not Drunk, Just Looking for the Colonel

Police stopped a man who was weaving on Pearl Road Sept. 17, but found he wasn't drunk, just hungry.

The man said he was looking for KFC and may have drifted out of his lane.

He got a warning, a report said.

Break-In on Howe

Someone kicked in the front door of a vacant house on Howe Road and stole appliances, police said.

It was reported Sept. 17.

Disturbing Fans

Someone reported four carloads of cheerleaders screaming out the windows of their vehicles on Lunn Road about 5 p.m. Sept. 16.

The kids were sitting on the doors and standing in the sunroofs, and none were wearing seatbelts.

It happens at least once a week when they're headed to the football field on West Lunn, the report said.
