Police Blotter: Loud Beer Pong Game Disturbs Neighbor

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Drake Road resident complained about 1:40 a.m. Oct. 9 that some neighbors were playing beer pong outside and had the music up so loud it was shaking the walls of his house.

Police found the party was actually indoors, and still very loud.

Officers warned the host to turn down the volume of the music and the yelling.

Break-in at Business

, 14763 Pearl Rd., was broken into the night of Oct. 6.

A report said the thieves got in through the back door and stole cash.

Burglar Caught in Act

A tenant at a Whitney Road apartment told police he left to do laundry Oct. 7 and returned about 9:30 a.m. to find a man trying to pry open his window.

He described the man as short, heavyset and Hispanic, with a medium complexion and short curly hair. He was wearing shorts and a white T-shirt and looked very unkempt.

'Dead Bodies' in Driveway

A Benbow Road resident complained about mischief Oct. 9.

A report said someone had drawn dead bodies on the driveway during the night, and also put traffic traffic cones all over it.

Alarm at School

An alarm brought police to on Priem Road about 8 p.m. Oct. 9.

Officers found no one in the area, but did find a bag of potato chips someone had tried to set on fire. 

It made a mess, but nothing was burned, the report said.

Car Show Moves On

Employees at called police about 8 p.m. Oct. 9 to report an unauthorized car/motorcycle rally, with about 25 vehicles in the parking lot.

Police said the drivers didn't know they needed permission to gather there.
