Police Blotter: Man Pounding on Door -- Oops, Never Mind

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Fox Hunt Drive woman called police about 1 a.m. Dec. 11 to say a man had been knocking at her door for a half hour.

The man had left when police arrived.

But no matter. The woman realized after she called she had left her keys in the outside lock, and the man was apparently just trying to alert her to that.

Dog Locked in Trunk?

A witness reported seeing someone drag a dog by the collar out of a Drake Road house and put it in the trunk of a car Dec. 11.

Police tracked down the owner of the car, who said she she had given it to a Cleveland man to use. 

She she there was no dog in the trunk. Police said they are following up with an investigation.

Mischief Making

A house on Kylemore Drive was hit with eggs about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 11.

Police in the area also found a mailbox lying in the street and noticed another mailbox damaged on Pembrooke Oval.

Yep, That's Loud

An Adams Drive resident complained about loud music about 4:30 a.m. Dec. 9.

When police arrived, they could hear the stereo outside. The resident agreed to turn it down.

Stadium Alarm

An alarm brought police to the concession stand at about 2 p.m. Dec. 11.

Officers found no one there, but a bicycle was sitting where the alarm had been set off. They took the bike back to the station.

Bad Party Parking

Neighbors called police to Westminster Drive about 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 because of a number of cars parked on the hydrant side of the street.

Officers spoke to the party host, who told all the guests to move their cars.
