Strongsville Credit Cards Being Used at Target in California

Identity theft cases appear to be related

At least four Strongsville residents have reported incidents of identity theft in which their credit or debit cards have been used at a store in California.

Residents on Westwood Drive and Colleen Court reported the thefts on May 28, and a Hunt Road resident reported the same thing on May 29. Detective Lt. John Janowski said a Prospect Road woman also reported that someone charged nearly $600 on her card at Target in California.

At least two of the cases appear to involve Century Federal Credit Union. One of the victims told police he learned there had been a breach in the computer system.
