Strongsville Police Blotter: Five Men in Yard, Looking in Windows Alarm Resident

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Howe Road woman called police about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 24 after she found four men in her yard and another looking in her windows.

A report said when the woman went out to confront them, they seemed startled, then asked her a number of questions.

They walked south on Howe Road. Neighbors told police they saw the men get into a white SUV.

There was no indication they tried to get into any homes in the area.

Welfare Check involving Toilet

A caller told police a man on Quail Hollow Drive appeared to have his arm stuck in an old toilet Aug. 24.

Not exactly, but it's a good thing police checked. The man had tripped and fallen on a tree lawn, and couldn't get up.

Officers helped the man up and into his house.

Burglary

A Gate Post Drive resident came home Aug. 22 to find his door open.

Police found there was forced entry to the garage. Nothing appeared to be missing from the house.

Really Drunk Guy Draws Attention

A very intoxicated man was seen crawling around the courtyard at Chestnut Lakes Apartment about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 22.

Police caught up with the swaying, staggering man just as he made it into a building.

The witness called back a few minutes later, though, to say the intoxicated man was back outside.

The Parma Heights resident told police he had dropped his cell phone. He was staying with a friend in the apartment complex.
