Strongsville Police Blotter: Guy Gets Massage, but He's Not So Relaxed He Can't Run

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Employees at , 13477 Prospect Rd., called police Aug. 10 after a man had a massage and then left without paying.

A report said the man took off running behind about 4:40 p.m.

The business had the man's first name and phone number, which police were able to trace to a possible culprit.

Not a Crime, Just Rude

An anonymous letter left in a Stony Point Drive mailbox upset the owner, but there was nothing police could do about it.

The typed letter said the author was trying to sell his house, and did not like the resident's shutters or the tarp he uses on his patio.

The officer "advised that this is not of a criminal nature but is rude," a report said.

Burglary

A Coopers Run resident returned home about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 10 to find the front door kicked in and items missing.

A Little Too Goofy

Witnesses reported four young males hanging out of the windows of a car going 90 mph on I-71 Aug. 8.

Police caught up with the car after it exited on Royalton Road and cited the driver into juvenile court.

The passengers admitted they had their arms out the windows and were acting goofy.

Go to Bed, Already

A Webster Road family called police about 3 a.m. Aug. 9 to say their intoxicated neighbors were beating on their windows.

Police found two males with baseball bats on the front porch and saw a girl inside, but no one would answer the door. They stayed in the area to make sure there was no more trouble.

Smoke but No Fire

Several callers reported a lot of smoke in the are of Marks Road and Westwood Drive about 10 p.m. Aug. 8.

Safety officials eventually found smoldering hay in a barn on Clark Road in Columbia Station. It presented no danger, and the residents did not answer the door. Lorain County officials were notified.
