A Sprague Road resident asked police April 1 to check out a drunk man who lives in the woods behind his house.

An officer went into the woods next day and found no evidence anyone was living there -- but he did say someone was going there to party.

The resident said the man goes into the woods with a backpack, leading him to believe he was a vagrant. Police advised him to call back the next time he sees the visitor in the woods.

Drugs Found

An Oak Hollow Lane resident found a small bag of white powder by his mailbox April 4.

Police said a test confirmed the presence of amphetamines.

Wrong Cars Stopped by Flattened Tires

The Medina County Sheriff's Office asked Strongsville police to help stop a fleeing car traveling more than 100 mph on I-71 about 9:20 p.m. April 4.

The driver and passenger were throwing things out the car window as they sped north, a report said.

Police here put "stop sticks" in the road, then learned that Brunswick police had stopped the fleeing driver just south of Royalton Road.

At that point, two other vehicles hit the stop sticks by accident. Both suffered flat tires; police called tow trucks for them.
