Dogs can Take a Dip at Metroparks Event

Pups will be able to swim in Ledge Pool Aug. 28

Cleveland Metroparks' annual Dog Paddle & More has teamed with Pet-a-Palooza for a huge event Sunday, Aug. 28.

Leash up your favorite dog and for the "Dog Paddle & Pet-a-Palooza" on from 1 to 5 p.m. at Ledge Pool & Recreation Area in Hinckley Reservation.

 Dog owners can bring their non-aggressive dogs to cool off with a dip in Ledge Pool for a nominal donation ($5 per dog), with proceeds benefiting the Medina County SPCA.

A Dog Fair will also be held on the grounds and include dog groomers, pet stores, pet therapy, American Red Cross for pet safety and more.

The Medina County SPCA will also host a pet adoption area.

Demonstrations already lined up include B.A.R.K (Buckeye Area Regional K-9) with animal safety demonstrations, the Medina Swarm dog agility course setup for demonstrations, and Buckeye Dock Dogs with dogs going aerial and plunging into Ledge Lake. 

Dogs and their humans can also enjoy snacks for sale.

Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is at 1151 Ledge Road, between State and Kellogg roads in Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township.
