Halloween Hullabaloo, Other Events on Tap This Fall

Ehrnfelt Recreation Center releases new program brochure

A Halloween party for families and the popular Rockin' at the Rec dances for teens highlight the fall programs at the .

• Halloween Hullabaloo -- Friday, Oct. 21, 6-9 p.m. at in the Cleveland Metroparks. The outdoor family Halloween party features candy, games, a hayride, hay maze, pumpkin decorating, crafts, cookie decorating and delicious Halloween treats. A limited number of tickets go on sale beginning Tuesday, Aug. 30 at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center front desk. Cost is $5 for kids 1-2; $8 for 3 and older. Kids under 1 are free.

• Rockin' at the Rec -- The popular dances for kids in sixth, seventh and eighth grade start Sept. 9. Other dances will be Oct. 7, Nov. 11, Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 16, April 20 and June 8. Tickets are $5 in advance, sold at the Strongsville Spirit Shop in the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday the week of the dance. If it's not sold out, tickets are $10 at the door. Open to Strongsville residents only.

• Breakfast with Santa -- Dec. 3 at 9 a.m. at the Event Center in the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. Co-sponsored by Strongsville Rotary. The breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. Each family will receive a souvenir photo with the jolly elf himself. Limited number of tickets on sale beginning Monday, Nov. 1, at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center front desk. Infants under 1 are free; kids 1-2 are $5; ages 3 and up are $8.

• Kids Garage Sale -- Oct. 15, 9 a.m. to noon in the Event Center. Reserve a table to sell your gently used maternity, baby and kids' items. Or just come and shop more than 50 tables of toys, clothes, small furniture and accessories.

-- Continues through Sept. 30 every Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at 13213 Pearl Rd., being the Communication Center (the old library). Features fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, jellies and baked goods from local farmers.
