New Ballfields to Be Dedicated Friday
Strongsville will have ceremony to celebrate completion of Youth Sports Park
The city is celebrating the completion of three new baseball fields at , 21255 Lunn Rd., with a dedication ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday, July 15.
The fields were built, in part, with a $250,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, which awarded the money for construction of an outdoor pool.
ODNR approved using the money to build baseball fields to replace ones that are on the pool site, near the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center.

The pool is still in the early planning stages.
More than 2,000 boys and girls use the fields for the summer baseball program.

The Strongsville Travel Baseball Association also donated $50,000 toward the new fields.
