Public Meeting Set on Pearl Road Widening, Part 2

Residents can ask questions about second phase of project

The city has set a public information meeting for 7-9 p.m. Monday, July 25 on the second phase of the Pearl Road widening project.

City representatives will be at the , 18100 Royalton Rd., to discuss the project and answer questions.

The second phase will pick up where leaves off, widening Pearl Road to five lanes from around Drake Road south to Boston Road.

The first phase expected to wrap up in August, with an set for Sept. 7.

The Ohio Department of Transportation awarded the city a $6 million grant toward the $12.7 million second phase. The city intends to put in about $3 million and is still seeking funding to pay for the rest.
