Rec Center News: Pool to Be Closed, Events Coming Up

Here are some announcements from the Strongsville Recreation Department:

• The activity pool in the Aquatic Center at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center will be closed for maintenance Feb. 13-15. Call 440-580-3260 for more information.

• Tickets for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny are now on sale at the rec center. The event is set for March 24 in the Event Center at the recreation center. Cost is $8 for ages 3 and older; $5 for agest 1 and 2; free for kids under 1. The menu features scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, orange juice, milk and coffee. Each family will receive one free photo with the Bunny.

• Registration is under way for the 11th annual Super Saturday 5K/1-Mile Race, sponsored by the city and Pat Catan's. The races start at 9 a.m. March 17 at the rec center. Pre-registration fee is $20 for one race and $25 for two; on the day of the event, cost is $25 for one and $30 for two.

• A Kids Garage Sale is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Event Center. Reserve a table to sell gently used maternity, baby and kids' items, or come to shop more than 50 tables of toys, clothes, accessories and small furniture. Earlybirds pay $3 to shop from 9-10 a.m.; arrive after 10 and it's free.
