Whiz Kids: SMAC Rabbits

Basketball team is brand new, but boasts a winning record

Who: The fifth-grade boys SMAC Rabbits team was just formed this spring with kids from the surrounding communities to compete in local and out of state basketball tournaments.

Accomplishments: They have played in four tournaments so far and have a record of 10 wins and six loses including one tournament runner-up and tournament champions in the local Strongsville Cage Classic over Easter weekend. They went undefeated to win the tournament with a decisive 44-23 margin.

Key to Awesomeness:  The boys have really come together as a team in a short period of time. Head coach Doni Moody has found a way to balance a team of local whiz kids and turn them into a winning team with the common goal to play hard and have fun.
