Former Strongsville Man's 'Crazy Hair Fundraiser' Seeks Money for Wigs

SHS grad is growing his hair to help kids with cancer

A Strongsville High School grad is looking to raise $12,000 while growing his hair 12 inches to make wigs for kids battling cancer.

Adam Pervez, who grew up in Strongsville, is now on a "Happy Nomad Tour" spending time in rural villages in developing countries to learn about the people and their way of life -- and find a way to help them before he leaves.

He's chronicling the journey, which started in August 2011, on his website.

Now he's partnered with Westlake-based Wigs for Kids, which donates hairpieces to children battling cancer, hoping to raise $12,000 -- enough for four to eight wigs -- by the time he grows his hair 12 inches to donate.

You can find out more and donate on his "Crazy Hair" page.
